Farmhouse Tavern Unterweiher

The farm is located in the area of Labers/ Meran.
On a wide plateau in the middle of the slopes of Labers, where the steep wooded area prepares to turn into a picturesque orchard and vineyard, you will find one of the last cattle farms of Merano: The Unterweiher farm.

Farmer Christian and his wife Hilde run the popular farm tavern during the months when the difficult work with cattle and pasture just allows it. It is popular above all for its hearty cuisine, which comes up with a small and manageable menu, but scores with exclusively fresh and local products, which are used here.

The quality of the products of the Unterweiherhof is also attested to by the fact that star chef Luis Haller from the nearby Relais Châteaux Hotel Fragsburg constantly stocks up on fresh ingredients from the magnificent farm garden here.

So you can enjoy here ingredients from the star cuisine, processed, for example, in tasty dumpling dishes, as well as in the wonderfully airy Kaiserschmarren: Freshly prepared by the old farmer's wife with eggs from their own chickens and homemade cranberry jam.
