Farmhouse tavern Rauthof

In the midst of the magnificent vineyards of Labers, near the castle Katzenstein lies at an altitude of 465 meters above sea level the Rauthof, which is already managed by the third generation of the Fieg family.

And three generations of women take care of the well-being of their guests in harmonious cooperation, who get the best from the kitchen, smokehouse and wine cellar on the table! There is no menu here, just as electronic devices for taking orders: Here they still take the time to personally respond to the wishes of their visitors!

Bacon, sausages and a special salami come from their own production and are brought to maturity according to ancient customs in the farm's own smokehouse. All the wines served come from the vineyards around the farm and are cellared and aged in the old cellar of the farm.

In autumn, at the time of the "Törggelen", when it is required to sit together at the Rauthof with sauerkraut and fresh sausages, roasted chestnuts and young wine, the surrounding nature offers a spectacular play of colors, while the huge wood-burning stove in the open kitchen provides a cozy warmth. Said wood oven is used in the spring to make tasty pizzas.
